Dr. Ziyar utilizes bio-psycho social model of assesment, diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Ziyar works with patients ages seven and older who live with a broad scope of mental health conditions, from anxiety and depression to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and substance abuse.
After completing his residency in psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco Fresno Center for Medical Education and Research, Dr. Ziyar earned a certificate in addiction medicine from the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He went on to serve as lead psychiatrist at Tulare County Mental Health Department for two years before opening his private practice, Latif Ziyar, M.D., Inc.
Dr. Ziyar is certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration. He’s a member of the American Medical Association and the American Association of Psychiatric Medicine.
